| Statewide TMA/TDM Coordination & PATH |
|
CNHRPC staff members are coordinating a brown bag lunch series with other planners who are working Transportation Demand Management (TDM) projects and Transportation Management Associations (TMA) across the state. The goal of the series is to develop consistent approaches and services across the state and New England region. The group is also working together to seek sustainable statewide funding for programs like PATH. The group includes representatives from:
PATH’s goal is to reduce the number of single occupancy vehicle trips in and around the Concord area by promoting alternatives to driving alone. This can help improve our air quality, reduce traffic congestion, enhance the transportation system, and improve the societal emphasis on personal health and fitness. Individuals can become PATH members by visiting our website and filling out our survey. PATH works closely with the NH Rideshare program and uses its ridematching database. All PATH members are eligible for the Emergency Ride Home benefit, where PATH reimburses the cost of transportation home if caught without a ride in the event of an emergency. PATH also has an Incentive Program with a monthly drawing of prizes donated by local businesses for those who carpool, bike, walk, or take transit to work at least 10 times per month. PATH members are also eligible for discounts at some local retail stores. Membership is free. Visit PATH’s website at www.path-nh.org for more information or to become a member.
