Plan Community Visioning Forum a Success!
February 2004
The
Steering Committee organized a Master Plan Visioning Forum for Saturday,
January 31, 2004 at the Elementary School to give residents another
opportunity to participate in the Master Plan process. Nearly 50
residents attended the Forum.
The Community
Survey Results from November 2003 were presented. The highlights
of the morning were small focused discussion groups ("Breakout
Groups") on Natural Features, Transportation, Community Facilities,
Housing, Population & Economics, Land Use, and History &
Culture. Attendees of the Forum talked about issues within up to
two Breakout Groups and decided what the key issues were to address
within the Master Plan. The full audience then heard key issue presentations
of each of the Breakout Groups from the Subcommittee Chairs. Several
attendees signed up to participate in Subcommittees.
This information
gained from the Visioning Forum will be used to help formulate the
Chapters of the Master Plan.
Photographs
from the morning as well as transcripts of the Breakout Groups'
notes will be available on the Downloads
page.
